Jackson State University and College Football Hall of Famer Willie Richardson died Monday, the university announced.
Richardson, 76, was the lead color analyst for Jackson State football radio broadcasts.
The cause of his death is unknown, according to the Clarion-Ledger.
Richardson was inducted into the JSU Sports Hall of Fame in 1978.
He would play in the NFL for the Baltimore Colts and Miami Dolphins over nine NFL seasons.
Richardson, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, was named to the All- Pro team once, in 1967.
