BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Prairie View A&M running back Johnta’ Hebert and linebacker Raleigh Johnson, and Alabama State punter Trevor Vincent and quarterback Ellis Richardson have been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference for their outstanding performances during action on Nov. 21.

Hebert rushed for 212 yards and three scores in the Panthers’ 56-14 victory over Jackson State. Hebert scored on runs of 19, 76 and 7 yards. Hebert is one of two players in the nation that averages 200 all-purpose yards per game and ranks No. 2 in the category. He is the only player in the nation with at least 500 or more yards rushing, receiving and kick returning.

Johnson led the Panthers with 13 total tackles (three solo, 10 assists) in a 56-14 victory over Jackson State. He also picked up a half-tackle for loss. Nine of Johnson’s stops came during the second half of the contest.

P – So. – 6-2 – 195 – Youngsville, La.
Vincent contributed to Alabama State’s victory over Miles with his efforts in the battle for field position. In three punts, Vincent averaged 40.7 yards per kick, and each of his punts pinned the Golden Bears inside their own 20-yard line. Miles’ average drive start was the 13-yard line following Vincent’s punts during the game.
Newcomer of the Week
Ellis Richardson

QB – R-So. – 6-3 – 235 – Villa Rica, Ga.
Richardson rushed for 123 yards and a score on 11 carries and was 6-of-10 for 78 yards in spot duty behind center in Alabama State’s 26-7 win over Miles. Richardson’s biggest play came in the fourth quarter, when he iced the game with his 53-yard touchdown.
