GRAMBLING, La. – Grambling State pushed past LSU- Alexandria, 106-50, Wednesday afternoon in Louisiana. Yosha Watson finished with a double-double at the Hobdy Assembly Center.
Jazmine Boyd was the leading scorer for the Lady Tigers with 21 points, while Shakyla Hill finished with almost a quadruple double with 19 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and nine steals. John’ea Thompson led the game in rebounds, picking up 11.
For the Generals, Pearl Paulo managed 17 points, followed by Taylor Holzmeier who registered 11 points.
Defensively, Grambling held LSU-Alexandria to 21 percent shooting from the field with the Generals going 0 of 15 from the three-point line. The Tigers also forced 26 turnovers and collected 17 steals.
