JACKSON, Miss. – College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) today announced its 2015 FCS Defensive Awards Watch List and Jackson State’s Javancy Jones has been added to the list.
Jones, who is ranked 11th in the nation in tackles for loss, has been one of the main catalysts in JSU’s resurgence over the last three games. During that span the Tigers have gone 2-1 and Jones has recorded 26 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and three quarterback hurries.
For the season, he lead the JSU defense with 68 total tackles and 13 tackles for loss. He also has four sacks, four hurries and a pass breakup.
