ATLANTA – Jaha McCray (Clark Atlanta) was named the Offensive Player of the Week and Julian Morgan (Tuskegee) was selected as the Defensive Player of the Week, announced by the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) on Monday.
Marquez Hodo (Albany State) claimed the Newcomer of the Week and Devozea Gaines (Tuskegee) earned the Special Teams Player of the Week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jaha McCray
Clark Atlanta
RB • 5-11 • 185 • So. • Jacksonville, Fla.
McCray rushed 14 times for 122 yards, including a SIAC-long 98-yard touchdown run, and averaged 8.7 yards per carry. McCray also was the top pass catcher with three receptions for 88 yards. McCray has now rushed for over 100 yards in back-to-back games.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Julian Morgan
Tuskegee
DE • 6-2 • 200 • Jr. • Lithonia, Ga.
Morgan recorded 11 tackles, including six solo stops from his defensive end position in a 49-20 victory over Stillman. The junior equaled his season total in one game, and tripled his sack output on the season as he recorded four sacks in the victory (pushing his season total to six). Morgan recorded seven tackles for a loss – a career high – and forced two fumbles, recovering both of those fumbles.

Hodo recorded two interceptions, including one that he returned 100 yards for a touchdown, in a 38-0 win over Morehouse.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Devozea Gaines

WR/KR • 5-7 • 165 • So. • Buford, Ga.
Gaines got a chance to return a punt, as well as a kickoff in the 49-20 victory over Stillman. The sophomore returned his only kick return on Saturday 83 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter which extended the Golden Tigers to 49-13 at the time.
