Blanks averaged 22.9 minutes-per game in 2014 and assisted in getting Texas Southern back to their second consecutive appearance in the SWAC Championship game.  The Barberton, Ohio native returns as the team’s second leading defensive rebounder.  Banks also finished last year with 20 steals

Rounding out the squad list is guard, Jamel Waters (Alabama State), forwards Marquis Vance (Alcorn State), Adrian Rodgers (Southern), and center Nick West (Alabama A&M).

The second team includes: guards Chris Thomas (Texas Southern) and Tre’Lun Banks (Southern), forwards Malcolm Riley (Texas Southern), and Bobby Brown (Alabama State) with the Treshawn Bolden earning the center spot for Jackson State.

In the event that a player was named to the first team during the postseason and does not return, the second team player for that position was elevated to the first team. Players were ranked in their position based on the number of votes received.
