There are 31 games on this week’s slate involving HBCU teams, including tonight’s SWAC contest in Houston between Texas Southern and Alabama State (to be televised on ESPNU). But there is only one game this weekend that tops them all and it involves two winless teams.
Florida A&M (0-4) vs. Savannah State (0-3)
It was our very own Kendrick Marshall who said the following in July when making his “Five Bold Predictions For The 2015 MEAC Season”:
Savannah State will win a game this season. They’ve lost 21 straight going back to 2011. But there is hope. Oct. 3, at home, against a Florida A&M program that is just in worse shape as the Tigers are.
Marshall’s prediction wasn’t only bold, but prophetic. The Tigers’ streak is now at 24. It ends on Saturday. My pick: Savannah State
