Michael Lugo anchored an offensive line which allowed the Hawks to accumulate 503 total offensive yards in a 31-30 win over Delaware State.

#18 Matthew Goggans, Bowie St.
(Sr, QB – Pine Grove, CA)
Goggans continues to air it out in 2015 … In Bowie State’s 21-14 setback at Division I-FCS Central Connecticut State, Goggans passed for a season-high 373 yards, set new school single game records for completions (34) and attempts (68) and scored two touchdowns.
RECEIVER OF THE WEEK
#8 Nyme Manns, Bowie St.
(Jr, WR – Baltimore, MD)
Manns had a career game and led all receivers, hauling in a school single game record 12 receptions and a BSU single game record 194 reception yards and scored one touchdown.

#11 Marcus Hampton, Chowan

Marcus Hampton led the Hawks’ running game with 26 carries for 126 yards and one touchdown in Chowan’s 31-30 win over Delaware State.

#72 Darren Wilson, Elizabeth City St.
(Sr, DT – Hackensack, NJ)
Darren Wilson led a defensive line that only surrendered 77 yards on the ground to Saint Augustine’s. He finished the afternoon with 5 tackles (3 solo)
LINEBACKER OF THE WEEK
#9 Stephen Williams, Elizabeth City St.
(Sr, LB – Reidsville, NC)
Stephen continues his stellar play as the lead of ECSU’s defense. He led all performers with 11 tackles (4 solo) a sack for a loss of 10 yards which accounted for a safety, and had three tackles on the day go for a total loss of 31 yards
DEFENSIVE BACK OF THE WEEK
#4 Trevon Byron, Virginia St.
(Jr, DB – Virginia Beach, VA)
Byron collected 8 tackles and secured a touchdown off of a punt return in the 4th quarter.
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
#99 Nick Hahula, Chowan
(Sr, K/P – Rocky Mount, NC)
Nick Hahula played a critical role in the Hawks’ 31-30 win over Delware State on Saturday. He was a perfect 4-of-4 in point after attempts and also made good on a 30-yard field goal attempt in the third quarter. Hahula had four punts totaling 152 yards (average of 38/punt) including a long of 51 yards, with one inside the 20.

Marcus Hampton had a standout game for the Hawks on Saturday. He tallied 26 carries for 126 yards and notched a touchdown in Chowan’s 31-30 win over Delaware State.
