Grambling State Releases 2015 Football Schedule

Home games against Southwestern Athletic Conference rivals Alabama A&M, Mississippi Valley State and Texas Southern highlight the 2015 Grambling State football conference schedule, which was officially released on Wednesday.

The 11-game schedule begins on the road at California on Sept. 5.

The Tigers play their first home game of the season against Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 12 at 4 p.m.

Grambling will travel to Montgomery, Ala. to battle Alabama State on Sept. 19, before playing Prairie View A&M the following week (Sept. 26) in the annual State Fair Clasic at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

The Tigers will travel to Jackson, Miss. to face Jackson State on Oct. 3, followed by a return back home to Robinson Stadium to face Alabama A&M on Oct. 10.

Grambling will play at Alcorn State on Oct. 17  before hosting its next two games against Mississippi Valley State on Oct. 24 and Texas Southern on Nov. 7.

A Nov. 14 contest at Arkansas-Pine Bluff will wind down the Tigers’ road schedule before the team’s season finally against Southern in the Bayou Classic in New Orleans on Nov. 28.

Oct. 17 – at Alcorn State University
Oct. 24 – MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (Homecoming 2015)
Oct. 31 – Open date
Nov. 7 – TEXAS SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY
Nov. 14 – at University of Arkansas Pine-Bluff
Nov. 21 – Open date
Nov. 28 – Southern University (42ND Bayou Classic)
Dec. 5 – SWAC Championship
