HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Texas Southern Lady Tigers basketball team stayed hot on Monday night as the captured a convincing 83-46 win over the Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs.
Diamonisha Sophus tallied a game high 18 points and Alexus Johnson, and Brianna Sidney helped lead the charge for TSU scoring 15 and 14 points respectively.
The Lady Bulldogs were led by Janie Myles who scored a team best 17 points. Brittney Strickland added 14 points. Brooke Dixon pulled down a game-best 10 rebounds to go along with her nine points.
Texas Southern finished the game shooting 52.5 percent from the field, 35.7 at the three-point range and 66.7 percent at the free-throw line.
As a team, Alabama A&M finished up the ball game shooting 24.6 percent from the field, 15.4 at the three-point range and 59.3 percent from the charity stripe.
