BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Prairie View’s Tre Hagood as been recognized by the Southwestern Athletic Conference as the men’s basketball player of the week for exceptional performance in competition for the week of February 21-23.
Hagood averaged 19.6 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals as PVAMU has won five straight and nine of the past 11. He lead the way as the Panthers captured two victories this past weekend. In two games, he has also shot 71.4 percent from the free throw line and 56.7 percent from the field while averaging 38.5 minutes.
Against Mississippi Valley State, Hagood scored 22 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out six assists. Versus UAPB, Hagood led the way with 17 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.
