MOOREHEAD, Miss. – Mississippi Valley State University responded to a late rally by Tougaloo College Thursday afternoon with a rally of its own to earn the 15-10 win.  The Delta Devils (2-2-1) were led by center fielder Edward Cox.  He went 4-for-5 with two runs and an RBI.

Both Arrington Smith and Brady McBride cranked balls over the fence in the win.  Smith along with Kalik May, Xzavier Franklin, and Demetrins Bonner, earned two hits on the day.  May and Franklin doubled twice.

Southeast Missouri State def. ALCORN STATE, 13-6

LORMAN, Miss. – Alcorn State University scored first but could not hold the lead as the Braves fell 13-6 to Southeast Missouri State at McGowan Stadium Thursday night.  Walter Vives, Cedric Walker, and Jonathan Willis each recorded hits for Alcorn State.

Willis came in to pinch hit in the seventh and started a late rally for the Braves who moved to 1-3 overall with the loss.
