Outspoken and polarizing ESPN contributor Stephen A. Smith was nearly rendered speechless when a cardboard cutout of himself in a Winston-Salem State basketball jersey made an appearance on the set of First Take.
Smith, Skip Bayless and the lovely Cari Champion were in Durham hosting the show live on the campus of Duke University Wednesday.
Prior to establishing himself as a national columnist, radio talk show host and TV personality, Smith played basketball at Winston-Salem State under Hall of Fame coach Clarence Gaines before going into journalism.
