ATLANTA – Kentucky State swept this week’s Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball weekly honors as announced by the conference.Brieona Warner earned the women’s basketball player of the week and Shaquanda Wiggins was tagged top.

Brieona Warner
Kentucky State
F • 5-10 • Sr. • Decatur, Ga.
Warner averaged 11.5 points, 8.5 rebounds per game on the week. She led the Lady Thorobrettes in rebounds, with 11, in their 91-50 win against Lane.

Newcomer of the Week
Shaquanda Wiggins
Kentucky State
C • 6-2 • Sr. • Country Club Hills, Ill.
Wiggins averaged 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds on the week for the Lady Thorobrettes. She led the team in scoring in their win against Lane.
