BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Alabama State’s Jasmine Peeples has been recognized as the women’s basketball player of the week for her exceptional performance in competition and leading her team to a 2-0 week.
Peeples has led the Lady Hornets to two consecutive road wins, which has pushed them in the first place running of the conference. Peeples has now amassed a career high of five double-doubles , and also has 47 total blocks, which, puts her in the league top performance category.
She scored 15 points in ASU’s 64-53 over Arkansas Pine-Bluff. In the Lady Hornet’s 62-45 victory over Mississippi Valley, Peeples scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, with a total of 27 points for the week of Jan 10-12.
