SWAC To Feature 11 Nationally Televised Basketball Games During Opening Week

A total of 11 games will feature six different teams within the conference to open the 2014-15 season which runs Friday, November 14 – 18. The last time the SWAC had this many games to appear during an opening weekend slate was 2010 with eight.

Grambling State’s women will start things off with a morning game at Ole Miss that will appear on SEC Network+ at 11 a.m. Two games on the men’s side are also on tap Friday as Mississippi Valley State travels to Indiana which will tipoff at 6 p.m. on the Big Ten Network. The Pac-12 Network will carry Alcorn State and California at 9 p.m.

The Jackson State men’s team will square off with Central Florida at 1 p.m. on ESPN3 while Alcorn State travels to Austin to face Texas on ESPNU at 7 p.m. Mississippi Valley State’s women play at Ole Miss on the SEC Network+ at 2 p.m.

Monday features one men’s contest and a pair of games on the women’s side. Texas Southern’s men are on the Big Ten Network at 5 p.m. against Indiana. SEC Network+ will carry Grambling State’s women at Auburn with the SEC Network carrying Jackson State at LSU. Both games are scheduled for 6 p.m. tips.

Mississippi Valley State vs. Ole Miss^ Oxford, Miss. 2 p.m. SEC Network +
Alcorn State at Texas Austin, Texas 7 p.m. ESPNU
November 17 Texas Southern vs. Indiana Bloomington, Ind. 5 p.m. Big Ten Network
Grambling State vs. Auburn^ Auburn, Ala. 6 p.m. SEC Network +
Jackson State vs. Louisiana State^ Baton Rouge, La. 6 p.m. SEC Network
November 18 Alabama A&M at Georgia Tech Atlanta, Ga. 6 p.m. ESPN3
Texas Southern at Kansas State^ Lawrence, Kan. 7 p.m. JTV/ESPN3
