The Grambling Tigers and Winston-Salem State Rams were the top vote-getters in this week’s HBCU Sports FCS and Division II fan polls.

The Tigers (6-3) maintain the No.1 ranking in the FCS poll for a second consecutive week, after defeating Texas Southern on Saturday, with 13 first place votes and 488 points. Alcorn State (7-2) placed at the No.2 spot with 456 points, but managed to secure 17 first-place votes.

North Carolina A&T (7-2) maintained its position at No.3, followed by Bethune-Cookman (7-2), Southern (6-3), South Carolina State (6-3), Alabama A&M (4-5), Morgan State (5-4), Texas Southern (5-4) and Tennessee State (4-6).

Winston-Salem State (8-1) managed to regain the No.1 position in the Division II poll this week after falling to No.3 in last week’s poll. The Rams, fresh from a 61-10 win over Shaw last Saturday, tallied 160 points along with 12 first-place votes.

Tuskegee (8-2) finished in the No.2 spot, followed by Albany State (6-2), Virginia State (7-2), Miles (5-3), Virginia Union (6-2), Fayetteville State (4-4), Fort Valley State (6-2), Morehouse (5-4) and Elizabeth City State (4-4).
