Howard head football coach Gary Harrell has been suspended for undisclosed NCAA violations.
Harrell will not be on the sideline when Howard plays Delaware State Saturday.
According to Onnidan.com, Harrell was cited for what were described as “minor violations” that took place earlier this season.
Assistant Ted White will serve as head coach on an interim basis.
Harrell, who was named head coach in 2011, took a leave of absence to deal with “personal and family issues” last March.
Howard is 1-7 and 0-5 in the MEAC this season.
