Hours after Jackson State lost to Mississippi Valley State for the first time in nearly two decades Saturday, Tim Jones took to Change.org and posted a petition demanding that head football coach Harold Jackson and athletic director Vivian fuller be fired following the team’s 3-4 start.
Jones wrote this following Saturday evening:

As of Monday, the online document has been signed 250 times.
During his weekly teleconference with the press, Jackson didn’t seem unnerved by the mounting criticism among fans.
“Everyone has an opinion,”Jackson said. “The only thing we can control is what we do on the football field.”
The first-year head coach responded to inquiries about losing support by saying, “when we start winning, they’ll (fans) be on (our) bandwagon also.”
Jackson State, who currently sits behind Alcorn State and Alabama State in the SWAC East is only two games out of the top spot with five regular season games left to play.
