BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Each of the Southwestern Athletic Conference football student-athletes of the week adds the honor on top of victories they helped their teams achieve against conference opponents in week four of play. Tyree Hollins (Monroe, La./Carroll) of Grambling State, Southern University’s Willie Quinn (Miami, Fla./Miami-Jackson), and Arron Baker (Belle Glades, Fla./Belle Glades) from Alcorn State were also named student-athletes of the week, respectively.

Cyrus set career highs in carries (29) and touchdowns (3) while rushing for a season-high 188 yards. The 5-10 running back scored two first quarter touchdowns and opened scoring in the second half. He now has 612 yards rushing over the first four games averaging 153 yards per game and 7.2 yards per carry.

Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week: Tyree Hollins (Grambling State)
Hollins had a tremendous game in Grambling’s SWAC opener at Jackson State. He finished with 10 total tackles, two interceptions, two tackles for a loss and one sack in the win. Hollins returned his interceptions for a total of 82 yards.

Specialist of the Week: Willie Quinn (Southern University)
A 5-5, junior wide receiver, Quinn posted his second career kickoff return touchdown in Southern’s 34-24 win over Prairie View A&M. He recorded a 98-yard kickoff return to help extend Southern’s lead to 14 points with 1:22 remaining in the second quarter. Quinn finished with three returns for 141 yards with 160 all-purpose yards.

Newcomer of the Week: Arron Baker (Alcorn State)
