Texas Southern starting quarterback Homer Causey’s status for the HBCUX Classic against Central State is uncertain, head coach Darrell Asberry said.
Jamal Small filled in for Causey, and threw three touchdown passes in a 52-14 win over Texas College.
Causey injured his leg in Texas Southern’s 37-35 win over Prairie View.
‘If he’s OK, we would want to put him out there,” head coach Darrell Asberry said. “But we also have two other quarterbacks who can step in. That is a good problem to have.”
