These are the HBCU football players to watch ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft

The Bethune-Cookman Wildcats and the Winston-Salem State Rams remain in the No.1 ranked teams in the HBCU Sports FCS and Division II fan polls.

BCU (1-0), coming off an open week in preparation for its home-opener against Grambling this Saturday, received 35 first-place votes. Alabama State (1-1) finished second in the poll, followed by North Carolina A&T (1-1), Alcorn State (1-1) and Jackson State (2-0) which came in fifth place.

Tennessee State (1-1) slipped to the sixth spot after suffering a loss to Alabama State, while South Carolina State (1-1), Southern (1-1), Texas Southern (2-0) and Morgan State (1-1) complete the FCS top 10.

Division II Winston-Salem State (1-0) won its season opener over UNC Pembroke 38-7.  The Tuskegee Tigers (0-1) remain in the second spot despite a 30-17 loss to Alabama A&M, followed by Miles (1-0), Albany State (0-1) and Virginia State (0-1) coming in at the 5 spot.

Fort Valley State (0-1) and Shaw (0-1) remain in the top 10 at the sixth and seventh spot respectfully, with Central State (1-0), Morehouse (1-0) and Kentucky State (1-0) completing the top 10 after not being unranked last week.
