Troubled Southern forward Calvin Godfrey is on the move again.
According to CollegeBasketballTalk and ESPN, Godfrey was granted his release from Southern, and could be eligible to play at another school immediately pending being granted a transfer waiver by the NCAA.
Godfrey averaged 13.1 points and 8.1 rebounds last season with Southern, leading them to their second consecutive SWAC regular season championship.
Godfrey, who has one season of eligibility remaining, first found trouble at Iowa State when he was kicked off the team for violating team rules following an arrest for marijuana possession.
He then spent one season at Howard in 2011 before attempting to enroll at LSU the following season, but was not accepted due to academics.
