According to a report by multiple media outlets, that head coach Chico Potts has been fired from MVSU and replaced by assistant Marcus Thomas, although no official announcement has been made by the university.
If Potts is indeed out at Mississippi Valley State then he’ll finish with a 14-46 mark in two years as the head coach and a 10-26 record in the SWAC. The Delta Devils historically have had high turnover on their basketball squad but have recently signed three recruits, so they aren’t just on auto pilot.
A HoopDirt.com report indicates that a new head coach will not be hired until July.
