As previously reported, Texas Southern and North Carolina A&T received automatic bids to play in the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT).
The 64-team bracket, announced on Monday, has the Lady Tigers playing against SMU and the Lady Aggies playing against South Florida.
Texas Southern (20-12) will play at SMU (17-13) on Thursday in Moody Coliseum in Dallas at 7 p.m.
The Lady Tigers were the SWAC regular season runner-ups to Southern University and also managed to advance to the final round of the SWAC Tournament before losing to Prairie View A&M on Saturday 63-58.
North Carolina A&T (24-6) will travel to Tampa, Fla. to play South Florida (19-12) on Friday 7 p.m.
N.C. A&T finished second to MEAC regular season champion Hampton before losing to Coppin State 57-55 in the semifinals of the MEAC tournament.
