The Southwestern Athletic Conference has released its men’s and women’s tournament bracket, seedings, schedules and TV times.  The 2014 basketball tournament will be held March 11-15 at the Toyota Center in downtown Houston.

2014 SWAC Tournament Schedule – (All times CT)

Tuesday, March 11

Women
10 a.m.: No. 7 Grambling vs. No. 10 Arkansas-Pine Bluff

5:30 p.m.: No. 8 Alcorn State vs. No. 9 Alabama A&M

Men
12:30 p.m.: No. 7 Jackson State vs. No. 10 Grambling State

8 p.m.: No. 8 Prairie View A&M vs. No. 9 Mississippi Valley State

Wednesday, March 12

Women
10 a.m: No. 2 Texas Southern vs. Grambling-Arkansas-Pine Bluff winner

5:30 p.m.: No. 1 Southern vs. Alcorn State-Alabama A&M winner

Men
12:30 p.m.: No. 2 Texas Southern vs. Jackson State-Grambling winner

8 p.m.: No. 1 Southern vs. Prairie View A&M-Mississippi Valley State winner

Thursday, March 13

Women
10 a.m.:
No. 3 Jackson State vs. No. 6 Mississippi Valley State

5:30 p.m.: No. 4 Prairie View A&M vs. No. 5 Alabama State

Men
12:30 p.m.: No. 3 Alabama State vs. No. 6 Alcorn State

8 p.m.: No. 4 Arkansas-Pine Bluff vs. No. 5 Alabama A&M

Friday, March 14

Noon:
Semifinal round

6 p.m.: Semifinal round

Men
2:30 p.m.:

8:30 p.m.: Semifinal round

Saturday, March 15

Women
Noon:
Final round (TV: ESPN3 – Live, ESPNU – Tape delay, midnight)

Men
3:30 p.m.:
Final round (TV: ESPN2 – Live)

Southern University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams are not eligible for the NCAA tournament due to insufficient data submitted to the NCAA.  The men’s basketball teams from Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Grambling and Mississippi Valley State are not eligible for the NCAA tournament due to low APR scores.
