Through the first half of the SWAC conference slate the Southern Jaguars have established themselves as far and away the best team in the league.
This was evidenced by their 104-54 win over Grambling State Saturday night.
Malcom Miller led the way with 22 points on 8-of-11 from the field.
Southern (13-10) has won nine of its last 10 league games, including an impressive win last month over then one-loss Alabama State.
Speaking of Alabama State (14-7, 8-2), they were winners of their fourth straight contest sneaking past a game Mississippi Valley State outfit 75-70 on the road.
