Alabama A&M released its 2014 football schedule Wednesday, which also marks the beginning of the James Spady era as the Bulldogs’ new head coach.
The 12-game schedule begins with three straight games against non-conference teams –against North Carolina A&T in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge (Aug. 31), at Tuskegee University (Sept. 9) and at Alabama-Birmingham (Sept. 13).
The Bulldogs continue on the road with a conference opener at Texas Southern (Sept. 20), followed by a trip to Itta Bena, Miss. to face Mississippi Valley State (Sept. 27), before playing their home opener in Huntsville on Oct. 4 against Grambling. The homestand continues with Southern University (Oct. 11) before the Bulldogs face Alabama State in the annual Magic City Classic in Birmingham’s Legion Field (Oct. 25).
The remaining four games on the schedule include a visit at Jackson State (Nov. 1), home games against Alcorn State (Nov. 8) and Prairie View A&M (Nov. 15), and a road trip to face Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 22.
