Sources have confirmed with TSPN Sports that Nevada tight ends coach James Spady will be named the next head football coach at Alabama A&M.
Spady, recently named in a TSPN Sports feature, “Ten Football Coaches HBCUs Should Consider Hiring And The Reasons Why”, will replace Anthony Jones, who was fired by the school after serving twelve seasons as head coach.
Before arriving at Nevada in 2009, Spady served three seasons as offensive coordinator at Grambling and one year as offensive line coach at North Carolina Central.
A press conference announcing Spady as the new AAMU head coach will be held on Friday, Jan. 3.
Update: 4:28pm – AAMU makes official announcement.
