SWAC Announces 2012-13 SWAC All-Academic Teams

SWACLogoA total of 984 Southwestern Athletic Conference student-athletes earned academic honors by completing a full academic year maintaining a 3.0 cumulative GPA or above.
Alabama State produced the most honorees with 129 athletes listed. Prairie View followed with 124.  Grambling and Jackson State finished in third and fourth place with totals of 119 and 115 respectively.
The Alabama State men’s golf team earned the highest team GPA among all 10 schools competing in men’s athletics with a total of 3.62.  Jackson State’s women’s tennis team compiled the highest GPA on the women’s side with a team average of 3.71.
