MyFoxHouston.com is reporting that the University of Southern California will hire Texas Southern’s Cynthia Cooper-Dyke as the school’s new head women’s basketball coach.

University of Southern California will hire Texas Southern University coach Cynthia Cooper-Dyke as the Trojans’ new head women’s basketball coach.
“It’s a great opportunity for me,” said Cooper-Dyke in an interview with FOX 26 Sports.”I will miss Texas Southern.
“It’s awesome to go back to California to coach at your alma mater, USC, where I have so many fond memories, where I grew up as a person, as a woman and as a basketball player.”
Cooper-Dyke replaces Michael Cooper, who resigned last month.
In her only season with the Lady Tigers, Cooper-Dyke led TSU to the first winning season in school history, their regular season SWAC championship and first spot in postseason play. TSU lost in the first round of the women’s NIT to Kansas St. by a score of 72-44
