ITTA BENA — The Mississippi Valley State women’s soccer team has found out where it will be playing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Devilettes, who recently won its third SWAC Tournament title in school history, is seeded No. 16 and will travel to face No. 1 Florida State on Friday. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Seminole Soccer Complex.
It’ll mark the second time the Devilettes have battled FSU in the NCAA Tournament. The Seminoles defeated the Devilettes 7-0 in 2008.
MVSU advanced to the tournament this season after defeating Jackson State 2-0 in the SWAC Tournament championship game. Shanesse Spratt scored both of the Devilettes’ goals.
Tickets will go on sale beginning Tuesday, November 6 and can be purchased over the phone at 888-FSU-NOLE, in person at the Seminole Ticket Office located in side C of the University Center and online at Seminoles.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the Seminole Soccer Complex beginning at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, November 9.
