After 12 years of entertaining the Baton Rouge community with any and all things Southern University athletics and then some, Carlos Brown has left the building for a brand new radio gig.
Brown, popularly known as “The Franchise”, was the host of the weekly sports talk show Jaguar Journal which aired on radio station, WNXX-FM (104.5), in the Baton Rouge market. The program was a trend-setter, being one of the few terrestrial radio talk shows dedicated to an HBCU athletic program.
“I got choked up because of the memories and good times I have had with Jaguar Journal”, replied Brown in a post on the TSPNsports message board. “Trust me I was ready to go. It was strictly a business decision on my part.”
Brown’s new show called In the Zone can be heard on WUBR – 910 AM Saturday mornings from 9 to 11am.
The official announcement was made on Twitter by Brown.
