Former Jackson State track and field standout Michael Tinsley will continue his Olympic experience on Saturday, as he advanced to the semifinal round in the 400 meter hurdles.

He placed the fifth best time in the event standing after the first round. Tinsley had a very good performance, winning his heat with a time of 49.13.

In Saturday’s semifinal action, he will participate in the third heat and run in lane four.
