This Is Not Goodbye…More Like See You Later

This will be my last blog entry for TSPN Sports. I’m retiring (temporarily hopefully) from covering all things Southwestern Athletic Conference. I will be heading south to join a great staff at the Tulsa World (Okla.) as the night cops reporter.

Instead of writing game recaps, polarizing opinion pieces and feature stories, I’ll be on top of fires, shootings, robberies and criminal investigations.

For the last 15 months, I’ve enjoyed providing information about the various schools, athletes and coaches in one of the more historic conferences in all of intercollegiate athletics.

My job as a jack-of-all-trades blogger was to give readers content they couldn’t get elsewhere. I hope you guys enjoyed following along.

I do wish I had more time to work for TSPN and continue to write stories for passionate fan bases that deserve top-notch coverage now and in the future.

There was so much more I wanted to accomplish. There was so much more I desired to give.

At the end of the day, it has been a privilege to be in this position. I want to thank everyone for investing a portion of their valuable time each day to read what was produced in this space. And I appreciate the feedback in all its forms.

I’m not sure who will fill in for me down the road. But I do hope that person or people raise the bar.

See ya!
