Looking to win only their second SWAC championship, the Bulldogs rode the coattails of running back Kaderius Lacey in the first-half.
The all-conference running back carried the ball five times for 40 yards on Alabama A&M’s opening drive, including a 12-yard scamper to give the Bulldogs a 6-0 lead.
For much of the first half the Grambling State offense was inept at best. Midway through the second quarter the Tigers were out gained by the Bulldogs 155-30.
