Prairie View A&M  vs. Alcorn State
The folks in Lorman want head coach Melvin Spears’ head on a purple and goal platter after a disappointing 2-6 start.  His prospects for a win this week doesn’t look good versus a Panthers team playing for a spot in Birmingham. The Pick: Prairie View 24, Alcorn 13

Texas Southern  vs. Grambling State
Grambling State got off their deathbed with four-straight wins to propel them in a tie for first-place in the SWAC Western Division.  Who would have thought that was possible a month ago?  The Pick: Grambling 23, Texas Southern 17
