BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced the 2011 Commissioner’s All-Academic Team, recognizing 768 student-athletes from the conference’s 10 member institutions who achieved academic success during the 2010-11 academic school year. The team honors student-athletes with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
Prairie View A&M earned the Institutional Academic Excellence Award with 116 student-athletes recognized.
Each sport also crowned a team all-academic champion from the member institutions for combined GPA within the respective sport.

- Basketball – Grambling State, 2.62
- Cross Country — Mississippi Valley State, 3.44 (also won SWAC Championship)
- Indoor Track and Field – Mississippi Valley State, 3.09
- Outdoor Track and Field — Mississippi Valley State, 3.09
- Golf — Alabama State, 3.19
- Tennis — Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 3.71
- Baseball — Mississippi Valley State, 3.17
