Birmingham, Alabama – Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) assistant director of communications, Chevonne Mansfield, has accepted a position as assistant director of media relations at the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and will transition across town at the end of the month.
Mansfield earned the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) University Division Rising Star Award in June as a member of the SWAC staff.
“I am truly thankful to the SWAC and appreciate the opportunities for professional and personal development provided to me during my time there,” Mansfield said.
SWAC Commissioner Duer Sharp congratulated Mansfield on her appointment. “The conference office thanks Chevonne for her hard work and dedication during her tenure at the SWAC, and we wish her success as she heads to the SEC.”
