The Hornets (14-29) managed just four hits in the contest. ASU fell behind early, allowing six runs in the first inning and four runs in the fourth.
Ryan Epperson had two of the four hits to lead the Hornets.
“Prairie View came out swinging the bats well,” Hornets head coach Larry Watkins said. “In the first inning, we couldn’t get them out. Everyone that came to the plate hit the ball and we couldn’t recover from it.”
