Houston, TX-The 100 meter dash belong to the Texas Southern “Flying Tigers” on Saturday at the J Fred Duckett Rice outdoor track meet.
TSU captured both men and women titles. Philip Reddrick won the men’s 100m with a time of 10.51. He also placed 3rd in the 200m (21.39).
Francesca Okwara took first place in the 100m (11.59) and the 200m (24.12). She also expanded her talents to compete in the long jump where she placed 4th with a distance of 19’ 6.”
Texas Southern’s other top finishers were:
Arte Collins 2nd in the 400m (47.54)
Ayo Animashaun 2nd in the triple jump (26’ 3”)
Aaron Rogers 5th in the high jump (6’ 6”)
Selena Fudge 5th in the 100m hurdles (14.70)
The Texas Southern Tigers head to New Orleans, LA to compete in the SWAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on April 29-May 1st. They will compete at the Tad Gormley Stadium.
