#1 — Southern
#2 — Prairie View A&M
#3 — If Alcorn State defeats TXSO, then ALCN is the #3 seed.
If ALCN and MVSU are tied, then MVSU is #3 by sweeping ALCN.
If ALCN, MVSU, and AAMU end up in a 3-way tie, then MVSU is #3, ALCN is #4, and AAMU is #5 (MVSU swept ALCN and split with AAMU; ALCN swept AAMU)
If ALCN and AAMU both win, then ALCN is #3, AAMU is #4 (point differential over MVSU), and MVSU is #5
If ALCN loses to TXSO, then MVSU is #3 no matter what AAMU does vs. JSU.
#6 — AAMU could fall to #6 if AAMU loses to JSU and GSU defeats ALST. Then GSU is #5 and AAMU is #6.
If AAMU defeats JSU, then GSU is #6 and JSU is #7 no matter what happens elsewhere.
If JSU defeats AAMU and GSU loses to ALST, then AAMU is #5, GSU is #6, and JSU is #7 (GSU holds head-to-head tie-breaker over JSU by point differential).
#8 — Alabama State
Texas Southern and Arkansas-Pine Bluff are eliminated from contention.
