PVAMU Panther HeadPRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M Lady Panther softball team bolstered their roster for the 2012 campaign with the addition of three high school standouts during the early signing period.  Joining the team next season are Ke’Shae Monique Evans-Brown, Shontel Lopez and Olivia Pace.

Brown is the lone in-state signee as she hails from Clear Creek High School in League City, Texas.  Born in Galveston, Texas, the 5-5 Lady Panther to-be is a two-year letterwinner and starter for her high school softball team and has significant select team experience as she was selected to play with the North American Prospects 2011 USA Softball Team along with the Phaze 2 Select Team.  Active in the community, Brown is a member of the Parent-Teacher Student Association, Link Crew, Boy’s and Girl’s Club and Macedonia Church Ministries.

A native of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Lopez is a decorated player as she’s a three-time all-district honoree along with earning Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year Honors during the 2009 campaign.  In addition to the softball program, Lopez was also attracted to the school’s Health and Human Performance Department as she intends to major in kinesiology.

Olivia Pace rounds out the trio of signees as she’s a four-year starter at Highland High School in Palmdale, Calif.  Pace has earned the All-Golden League and All-Valley Awards during her tenure along with being named the Most Valuable Outfielder.  She was also selected to participate in four All-Star Triple Crown Tournaments.
