PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M junior cornerback Moses Ellis capped off a career season as he was named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation 2010 Football Championship Subdivision All-America team. The team was selected by the head coaches and sports information directors of the Football Championship Subdivision schools and certified by the accounting and auditing firm, Marcum LLP.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Ellis emerged as one of the nation’s best at his position after leading the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) ranks with eight interceptions and 22 passes defended in 2010. He also tallied 41 tackles on the season with 112 yards via interception returns.
“Moses is a student of the game who has emerged as a leader on the field,” said defensive backs coach Raasaan Haralson. “He has an impeccable work ethic and applied everything he learned in practice in terms of fundamentals and techniques over to the game. I’m proud of the effort he displayed on the field as I look forward to coaching him next season.”
This marks the second honor for Ellis this postseason as he was named to the 2010 All-SWAC First Team last week.
