Offensive Player of the Week
Joshua Boudreaux – QB, Arkansas-Pine Bluff (6-3, 240, Sr., New Iberia, La.)

Bourdeaux set 2 UAPB school records with 368 yards passing on 24 completions in the Golden Lions’ conference road victory at Southern, 41-23. He also threw four touchdown passes in the game.

• Donald Babers (RB, PVAM) – Rushed 26 times for 151 yards and 2 TDs
• Frank Warrren (RB, GRAM) – Rushed for 136 yards, 1 TD; caught 2 passes for 75 yards
• Tony Green (RB, AAMU) – Rushed for 118 yards and 2 TDs; caught 3 passes for 50 yards

Defensive Player of the Week
Curtis Thomas – DB, Texas Southern (6-1, 203, Sr., Houston, Texas)

Thomas had 2 interceptions and a pass breakup in the Tigers’ 21-7 road victory at Alabama State. He returned the second interception 59 yards for a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter to seal the win over the Hornets.

• Cliff Exama (LB, GRAM) – Recorded 10 total tackles (7 solo), 2.0 tackles-for-loss, 1.0 sacks.
• Jerryan Harris (LB, UAPB) – 12 total tackles, 1 fumble recovery
• Quinton Spears (DE, PVAM) – 10 total tackles, 1.0 tackles-for-loss
• Michael Boykins (DB, MVSU) – 9 total tackles (7 solo), 1 pass breakup

Special Teams Player of the Week
Kenneth Batiste – KR, Grambling State (5-7, 165, Lafayette, La.)

Batiste gave Grambling the lead for good with an 87-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the Tigers’ 25-22 conference road victory at Alabama A&M. The Bulldogs had just taken a 14-13 lead when Batiste put the Tigers ahead 19-14. He finished with 2 kick returns for 103 yards.

• Francois Ejiofor (P, TXSO) – Downed 5 of 6 punts inside the 20, including 3 inside the 10, long punt of 48 yards
• Brady Faggard (K, PVAM) – Connected on 2 FG attempts and a PAT

Newcomer of the Week
Terrell Johnson – LB, Mississippi Valley State (6-2, 210, Jr., Collumburg, Ala.)

Johnson finished with 8 total tackles (3 solo), along with 1.0 tackles-for-loss and a quarterback hurry in the Delta Devils’ home-opener and homecoming game vs. Prairie View A&M.

• Anthony Carrothers (QB, GRAM) – Threw for 191 yards and a TD, rushed for 34 yards
