PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M Panthers officially hit the gridiron on Monday night as they opened fall camp full of enthusiasm.
“I was impressed with the effort and speed of the team,” said head coach Henry Frazier III. “Even though we weren’t in pads, the players flew around and gave it all they had.”
Frazier said the first week of camp will primarily be used for teaching and executing as he wants to make sure everyone is on the same page before turning the intensity level up another notch.
“I want to make sure we grasp everything during this install period and do everything crisply,” said Frazier. “Paying attention to details is important at this point as those little things can eliminate mental things such as blown assignments later on through camp and during the season.”
The Panthers will continue to hold evening practices until Thursday at 7 p.m. On Friday, the team will suit up in full gear for the first time of camp at 2 p.m.
P.V. don't stand a chance against T.S.U. this year. Cole Blooded football baby!
Glad we're close to the season opener.
