SWAC Baseball Tournament, Day 3: Alabama State, Grambling State both facing elimination rounds

grambling_logo.gifGrambling State scored runs in all but one inning in eliminating Jackson State 15-1 (7 innings) in the 2009 SWAC Tournament.

Grambling State (16-36) scored single runs in the first and second innings, but broke the game open with five runs in the fourth, four in the fifth and three in the sixth in winning for the second time in the tournament.

Anthony Clifton, O.J. Simmons and Chris Wolfe each had three RBI for Grambling State, who had just eight hits. GSU took advantage of 12 Jackson State walks.

Jackson State finished the season 36-21.
