Houston, TX – Sporting events at Texas Southern University will continue as planned this weekend says athletics director Charles McClelland. “We are monitoring the situation in our area closely and at this point we see no reason to reschedule or cancel any of our athletic events.”
The SWAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships begin Friday, May 1st on the campus of Texas Southern University and runs through Sunday. The TSU Tigers will also host Prairie View A&M in baseball for a three games on Saturday and Sunday at MacGregor Park. McClelland says we will take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the participants and the spectators at these events.
