Tennessee State University head football coach James Webster has announced the Tigers’ spring practice schedule. TSU football will conduct fifteen spring practice sessions culminating in the Spring Game on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:00p.
Webster will be looking to replace twenty-three seniors from the 2008 team. Offensively, the Tigers will look to replace eight starters. Key positions needing replacement will be quarterback, running back, wide receiver and interior offensive linemen. The Tigers’ defense, which led the OVC in 2008, lost only three starters and will look to gain depth on the line and with linebackers.
On special teams, the Tigers lost their veteran placekicker and long snapper. The TSU kicking game will be a special point of emphasis.
