UAPB to face Prairie View
Shay Holmes scored a team-high 15 points to lead #3 Univ. Arkansas-Pine Bluff defeated #6 Alabama A&M 60-49.
The Lady Lions (12-18) led most of the way. Outscoring AAMU 32-26 in the second half, UAPB made 13-of-16 free throws (81 percent).
LaQuisha Slaton added 13 points and Ciara Shields scored 12 for the Lady Lions, who advance to take on #1 Prairie View A&M Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Katrich Williams led Alabama A&M with a game-high 16 points. Whiquitta Tobar scored 14 points and added six rebounds for the Bulldogs.
